Answer
Many people think miracles are a sure sign today that God is behind these but you will be surprised as I was to learn miracles today are a sure sign of Satan.

(2 Thessalonians 2:9) . . .But the lawless one’s presence is according to the operation of Satan with every powerful work and lying signs and portents

Where do you think these powerful works are being done and by whom since It was foretold that miraculous abilities granted by the spirit to the apostles, and passed on by them to others, would last only during the ‘infancy’ of the Christian congregation, thereafter ending.

(1 Corinthians 13:8-13) . . .Love never fails. But whether there are [gifts of] prophesying, they will be done away with; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will be done away with. 9 For we have partial knowledge and we prophesy partially; 10 but when that which is complete arrives, that which is partial will be done away with. 11 When I was a babe, I used to speak as a babe, to think as a babe, to reason as a babe; but now that I have become a man, I have done away with the [traits] of a babe. 12 For at present we see in hazy outline by means of a metal mirror, but then it will be face to face. At present I know partially, but then I shall know accurately even as I am accurately known. 13 Now, however, there remain faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

Only thing that would remain was faith, hope, love.

So why are these things still being done today in the churches? Paul enumerates nine different manifestations or operations of the spirit: (1) speech of wisdom, (2) speech of knowledge, (3) faith, (4) gifts of healings, (5) powerful works, (6) prophesying, (7) discernment of inspired utterances, (8) different tongues, and (9) interpretation of tongues,of these gifts powerful works included raising the dead, now if God was behind these today there would be resurrections yet we dont see these because only God can through his spirit and Satan cant mimic this like he can with healings ,tongues and others.

So the purpose today in these are quite simple ,its to deceive.Even if God were to continue to give his servants the ability to perform miracles, that would not convince everyone, for not even all the eyewitnesses of Jesus’ miracles were moved to accept his teachings.

Jesus fed thousands who saw the miracle yet only 120 were in the upper room.one of the main reasons for the miraculous gifts was to establish that God’s approval, which had rested upon the Jewish congregation, had now been placed upon the Christian congregation at Pentecost.

Today miraculous gifts are not needed to establish that fact. The present Jewish congregation is unable to carry out the requirements of the Mosaic law, Israel has no priesthood in the family line of Aaron records were loss, no temple on the ancient site at Jerusalem only thing there is for the false god allah.

Then, too, the most conclusive evidence for establishing which is the divinely approved congregation is not the performance of apparent miraculous works. Jesus Christ said:

(Matthew 7:22-23) . . .Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ 23 And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew YOU! Get away from me, YOU workers of lawlessness.

Proof the power came not from God but Satan even though it was performed in the mighty name of Jesus ,he clearly said it was a fraud.

So yes these are being done in some churches but its demonic and not of God.So Jesus indicated that even some “workers of lawlessness” might be able to exorcise demons. Evidently Satan, the chief of the demons, would permit this feat, which would give such “workers” the appearance of being “ministers of righteousness.

(2 Corinthians 11:13-15) 13 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

Many call Jehovah's Witnesses false prophets but when you look closely at what the scriptures say to look for you will begin as I have to see who the false teachers are.

(Mark 13:22) false prophets will arise and will give signs and wonders to lead astray,. . .

What signs do the witnesses give as opposed to preachers performing healings and other powerful works.

The three essentials for establishing the credentials of a true prophet, as given through Moses, were: The true prophet would speak in Jehovah’s name; the things foretold would come to pass and his prophesying must promote true worship, being in harmony with God’s revealed word and commandments

(Matthew 7:15-20) . . .Be on the watch for the false prophets that come to YOU in sheep’s covering, but inside they are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits YOU will recognize them. Never do people gather grapes from thorns or figs from thistles, do they? 17 Likewise every good tree produces fine fruit, but every rotten tree produces worthless fruit; 18 a good tree cannot bear worthless fruit, neither can a rotten tree produce fine fruit. 19 Every tree not producing fine fruit gets cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Really, then, by their fruits YOU will recognize those [men].

Compare the fruit of the worldwide churches of Christendom to Jehovah's Witnesses and you will see the churches approve of murder since they send its members to war, homosexually, women pastors, homosexual priests and the list go on and on.

So are miracles from God today?
