Question
How were the three thousand souls baptized on the day of Pentecost?  Were the pools used that were around the temple for cleansing?

Since there is no written witness in the Bible.... or in other historical material as to "how" the three thousand souls were baptized, I cannot give you a factual answer.

But it has been historicaly noted that there were many pools and resevoirs around the city which are close enough to the Temple to be used.
