Question
QUESTION: I used to wonder about God, so I studied the bible and wondered who wrote it..because some of the chapters were so confusing,eg:(For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever. (Jeremiah 3:12)
Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever. (Jeremiah 17:4)
If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid. (John 5:31)
Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid. (John 8:14)
And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. (Matthew 28:18)
the whole world is under control of the evil one. (1 John 5:19)
And Jesus said, For judgement I am come into this world. (John 9:39)
I came not to judge the world (John 12:47)
)" , I simply couldn't believe that God would sent down such a disorganized book(but my hunch is that the guy named peter wrote his heart out in the bible and filled it up with gibberish), but all I found was a bunch of unverified stories which confuses the readers. First I saw that there were over 9 versions of the bible, and each of them were different. It said that Jesus was God's son....but then I started thinking that if God is not a human, then how could he have kids. This guy was saying that look, jesus didn't have any father, so his dad must have been God himself! But when I told him that Adam and Eve didn't have any parents either. Does that make them god's children too? Well, all this was so confusing , that I started looking into some other religion to see what they had to say about God etc. Then Bible considers everyone to be sinners, and that God had to send his "son" to get rid of sins. This was strange that God would kill his innocent "son" in order to get rid of evil satan.! it sounded pretty cruel to me.Why would His "son" have to die for other peoples sins, or for satan, who makes people sin? Christianity also calls religious law a curse, and so that if someone follows religious laws ,they are in a curse.I saw this video, and was very interested in what it showed. It is about religious science: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHiAGHFnzMU .I have also studied both testaments, here are some of the conflicting verses I found in The Old Testament:
1}(a)"And David took from him a thousand chariots and SEVEN HUNDRED horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen"..-II Samuel 8:4 (b)"And David took from him a thousand chariots and SEVEN THOUSAND horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen"..-I Chronicles 18:4..So the question is 700 or 7000? 2}(a)"And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say,Go,number Israel and Judah".-II Samuel 24:1(b)"And SATAN stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel."-I Chronicles 21:1.So, is the Lord of David then Satan?God forbid!3}(a) "Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had NO CHILD until the day of her death"-II Samuel 6:23.(b)"But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth:and THE FIVE SONS of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzilai the Meholathite."-II Samuel 21:8,So, did Michal have children or not..?,there are a lot more contradictions in the old testament , showing that it could not have been holy.in the Psalm, The Muslim holy city of Makka is mentioned(original word for makka was Baca,as it's referred to in the Quran,Prophet David mentions in his Psalms 84:6:"Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well, the rain also filleth the pool."The well here is a well known well of Zamzam, still present now, close to the Ka'bah.
can you explain these verses to me?I'm confused..
thanks

ANSWER: I don't have the time right now to respond but I will later, one thing, the bible is from God who is a orderly God and not confusing I will explain your verses.

You start by saying:

"so I studied the bible"

This is why you're confused, without proper spiritual guidance you cant begin to understand scripture, that is one of the reasons Jehovah's Witnesses go door to door offering bible study.

I will address just one of your apparent so called "conflicting verses "

1}(a)"And David took from him a thousand chariots and SEVEN HUNDRED horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen"..-II Samuel 8:4 (b)"And David took from him a thousand chariots and SEVEN THOUSAND horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen"..-I Chronicles 18:4..So the question is 700 or 7000?

The variation in the enumeration of these at your text and  Chronicles have arisen through scribal error. In the Greek Septuagint both passages indicate that 1,000 chariots and 7,000 horsemen were captured.

As far as different translations Jehovah's Witnesses New World Translation is the most correct and accurate to get a complete understanding of scripture.

I will give you examples:

King James Version used most by the Churches of Christendom says this:

1 Timothy 3-16 (King James Version)

16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh.

If this verse is true then Jesus is God.

Many other translations as well render this verse God was manifest in the flesh ,an attempt to validate the Trinity doctrine taught in the Churches of Christendom.

Yet the NWT translation says:
Jehovah's Witnesses NWT
(1 Timothy 3:16) . . .‘He was made manifest in flesh. . .

Which is correct?

But in this ancient codex, the contraction for “God,” formed by two Greek letters “0C,” appears originally to have read “0C,” the word for “who.” Obviously, this meant that Christ Jesus was not “God.”

Newer translations of the correct manuscripts agree with Jehovah's Witnesses New World translation
HE instead of God was manifest in flesh.

English Standard Version

 (Y) He[e] was manifested in the flesh,
 vindicated[f] by the Spirit,[g]

American Standard Version:

He who was manifested in the flesh

Holman Christian Standard:
He [c] was manifested in the flesh, (S)

Now we know it was tampered with to support a Trinity doctrine, how many will reject "God" was manifest in the flesh for "he" was manifest in the flesh since they were taught this is correct?

They will say we changed the scripture, our NWT is the one thats false and the KJV is correct,so Satan deception succeeds.

I will cite one more of the hundreds of examples, this one is very subtle.

KJV says after his resurrection Jesus tell Mary Magdalene not to touch him :

King James Version
17Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father.

Jesus could not have told Mary this because not long after wards  Thomas said:

John 20:25 (King James Version)

Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

King James Version)

27Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side:

The correct translation says:

NWT
(John 20:17) 17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. . . .

Several other translations also agree with ours:

English Standard Version)

17Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me

What Jesus was saying as she clung to him as if she were about to lose him and never see him again. Jesus’ statement would work to correct her misunderstanding of the situation, showing her that she did not have to clutch on to him because he was going away.

So how many other verses in the KJV give a different meaning is the question.

Since there is only one God then there would be only one book or holy writings from God and all others would be frauds.

So how can the bible be proven to be from God.One way would be archaeological evidence, which would be items mentioned in the bible that have been found.

Now for the bible to be a hoax someone would have went through ab great deal of trouble to bury items to be found hundreds of years and thousands of years later, plus no one man could perpetrate such a fraud
simply because he couldn't live long enough so it would have to be a conspiracy of many men all working to make the bible seem to be the word of God.

Take for example the bible mentioned a assyrian king named Sargon.

(Isaiah 20:1) . . .In the year that Tar´tan came to Ash´dod, when Sar´gon the king of As·syr´i·a sent him. . .

Up until the last century this name was known only from the Bible record
no where else, and the bible was criticized for accuracy until the 19th century discoveries of Sargon’s palace at Khorsabad and the now famous Nabonidus Chronicle upheld the historicity of this ruler.

"translations has been altered "

Yes Gods word has been tampered with,if there is a God then there has to be a Devil who wants to corrupt his word but God has the power to preserve his true word even though many different translations are corrupted, all to confuse and mislead .

I will cite several examples, some are very subtle and others outright tampering to change the real meaning.

My advice to you if you are really seeking God is to pray for spiritual help and when we come to you accept a bible study and all your questions will be answred.

(Acts 8:30-31) . . .“Do you actually know what you are reading?” 31 He said: “Really, how could I ever do so, unless someone guided me?. . .

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: Hello,
So,is there scientific proofs or verses in the Bible. I'll be really interested to know more about those.I mean if Quran was man-made, it couldn't have contained all those scientific details..And could Muhammad actually have written those stuffs on his own?. I heard that he wasn't literate. He just memorized  the verses and his scribes wrote them down: I was thinking I would show you this, a friend gave me these a few weeks ago, I'll paste it here. I thought it matched with the Koran:Revelation to Prophet Muhammad [PBUH]

Revelation to Muhammad: The 1st revelation of Allah through the angel Gabriel to Muhammad was the word (Iqra) "read" in Surah 96:1-5: As he was unlettered he replied "I cannot read". This 1st revelation was prophesized in Isaiah 29:12 "And the book is delivered to him that is not learned saying, Read this, I pray thee, and he saith ,I am not learned.” These revelation came in installments, and inserted in certain order in the Quran as ordained by Allah, was also mentions in Isaiah 28:10-11 "For precept must be upon precept , precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little ,there a little, for with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to his people."Another tongue means another language, not Hebrew or Aramaic , but Arabic. Muslims all over the world are using one language, which is Arabic,in calling their God, in their prayers, pilgrimage and in their greetings to each other. Also this unity of language had been prophesied in Zephaniah 3:9: “For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the Lord, to serve Him with one consent.”the truth has come in Arabic.--
How come The other Holy books foretold Muhammad's coming?
Please help me out with these.  Because the science part in this video hit me the most http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wGcD6v0WuTA , http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BdbtDwcudA&feature=related .You can see if it matches with science if you watch all the 16 series. Several of my friends who turned atheist, are now interested in Islam(and they keep asking if Bible is scientific), and I also was thinking Islam is a sensible religion.
Thanks again,
Sara

Answer
"So,is there scientific proofs or verses in the Bible"

So then in your mind it comes down to the Bible vs the Quran ,Allah vs Jehovah.

The only way to understand the true from the false is Prophecies made and fulfilled,Satan has power to deceived but he does not predict future events only God.

Do all prophecies come from God? Did he reveal the different religious concepts that divide the world? Does he have different religious requirements for different races? Or are there true and false prophets, and true and false religions? What really is true prophecy, and what is the purpose of it?  Satan predictions are based on mystic knowledge and divination.
So yes the Devil can inspire false prophecy to deceive and divide mankind, confuse true revelations about God, and establish false ideas and religions.

I cant convince you that Jehovah's Witness is the truth and Islam is false just by what I say,its up to you in your search for God but one thing is certain the fact that as of this writing you have not lived up to the requirements of the God of the bible as recorded in Psalms:

It starts out by asking this question:

(Psalm 15:1) . . .O Jehovah, who will be a guest in your tent?. . .

or another words what kind of person does he choose to be in his house or congregation.

I dont know you and we will probably never meet but as you read this see where you fail to meet his standards.

(Psalms 15:1-16:0) . . .Who will reside in your holy mountain?  2 He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness And speaking the truth in his heart.  3 He has not slandered with his tongue. To his companion he has done nothing bad, And no reproach has he taken up against his intimate acquaintance.  4 In his eyes anyone contemptible is certainly rejected, But those fearing Jehovah he honors. He has sworn to what is bad [for himself], and yet he does not alter.  5 His money he has not given out on interest, And a bribe against the innocent one he has not taken. He that is doing these things will never be made to totter. A mik´tam of David.

Somewhere in these verses you are the opposite of what God requires, why do I says this with confidence? because I believe the bible is truth.

Lets break down these verses.

Anyone who wants Gods friendship must speak the truth “in his/her heart,” not merely with his/her lips. True friends of God must be honest of heart and must give evidence of “faith without hypocrisy,” for acts of truthfulness come from the heart.

Is this you?

"He has not slandered with his tongue. To his companion he has done nothing bad, And no reproach has he taken"

We must never speak maliciously about others.

Is this you?

(Psalm 15:2) . . .And speaking the truth in his heart.

A friend of God is not devious or deceptive.

(Psalm 15:4) . . .In his eyes anyone contemptible is certainly rejected. . .

commends a person who sticks to his agreements even if doing so is not to his advantage: “He has sworn to what is bad for himself, and yet he does not alter.” It is easy to stick to one’s word when things are going well. But it becomes a test of integrity when it is to one’s disadvantage financially.

(Proverbs 20:23) . . .Two sorts of weights are something detestable to Jehovah, and a cheating pair of scales is not good. . .

Is this you?

(Psalm 15:5) 5 His money he has not given out on interest, And a bribe against the innocent one he has not taken. . .

The Mosaic Law specified:

(Exodus 22:25) . . .“If you should lend money to my people, to the afflicted alongside you, you must not become like a usurer to him. YOU must not lay interest upon him.

A person desiring to be God’s friend and guest would never take undue advantage of his neighbor’s poverty and would comply with what the psalmist goes on to mention.

You must not . . . accept a bribe, for the bribe blinds the eyes of wise ones and distorts the words of righteous ones.”

The last verse says:

(Psalm 15:5) . . .He that is doing these things will never be made to totter. . .

Totter means:

a.to rock or shake as if about to fall; be unsteady
b.to be on the point of failure or collapse

So as I said I dont know what kind of person you are but I can confidently say one or more of these describes you,I know that because you're not a Jehovah's Witness.

Not saying even a witness cant fail to keep these standards which some do and are removed from his tent, but they at one time met his standards and became his chosen.

So you want proof which is true the bible or other books?
Just read again for yourself and see if one of these is not you.

"Who will reside in your holy mountain?  2 He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness And speaking the truth in his heart.  3 He has not slandered with his tongue. To his companion he has done nothing bad, And no reproach has he taken up against his intimate acquaintance.  4 In his eyes anyone contemptible is certainly rejected, But those fearing Jehovah he honors. He has sworn to what is bad [for himself], and yet he does not alter.  5 His money he has not given out on interest, And a bribe against the innocent one he has not taken. He that is doing these things will never be made to totter."

I'm not trying to point fingers at you and say how bad a person you are ,I dont know you,but I know scripture and I know for a fact you fail to meet his standards as recorded in scriptures.
