Question
Hello Mr. Gade.

Its been a long time since Ive been on the site and I have always come to you for questions. I have one more for you. Were the nails of the cross most likely made of bronze?

         Thankyou
         Pete

Answer
Pete,

I could find no information about what the nails used for the crucifixion were made of.

The Greek word itself can mean any nail or spike including brass, iron or wood.  The most common spikes for houses were made of iron even though the Greeks and Romans used brass to make their armor.  The building of David's temple even used gold and silver spikes.

It is most likely that the nails used for crucifixions were common iron.
