Question
Hi, what does the ancient jewish reporter Josephus have to say about Jesus? Does he accept Jesus?

Also, were the ancient Christians persecuted by the Romans and/or Greeks?

(btw i am not a Christian)

Thank you

Answer
Josephus did make a reference to Jesus as the Messiah althoguh some of the passages in his writing are disputed. You may have seen this well-documented article in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Josephus_on_Jesus

Yes the early Christians were persecuted by the Romans, Greeks, and Jews, but the Christians did not retaliate or use violence, because of Jesus' teaching to love their enemies. See http://www.counsellorpublishing.com/images/PacifismLesson2.pdf
