Christianity--Church History/baptism

if Jesus never sinned, what was the point of His baptism?

All Israel was required to be baptized because it was the counsel of God as stated here in Luke 7:29-30 All the people, even the tax collectors, when they heard Jesusí words, acknowledged that Godís way was right, because they had been baptized by John. But the Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected Godís purpose for themselves, because they had not been baptized by John.
