Christianity--Church History/Divinity of Christ

Question
Early Christianity did not see Christ as Divine.  When did we come to see him as such?  The research in Holy Blood Holy Grail addresses it somewhat.  Can you elaborate for me?

Thank you

Maryann

Answer
"EARLY CHRISTIANITY DID NOT SEE CHRIST AS DIVINE".

Christianity in the first century accepted Jesus' teachings and so viewed him as God's Son, not as the Creator himself.

WHEN DID WE COME TO SEE HIM AS SUCH?

The bible tells us; after the apostles deaths, falsehoods began to creep in and so by the 4th century  the churches were teaching;  “the divinity of Christ” and that he is actually God. They held that Jesus always existed and was more than a human when he was here on the earth.

As one of Jehovah's Witnesses I don't “see him as such” I believe what Jesus taught, not what the churches of Christendom teach.

I love to study and have made a point of finding out all there is to know about Early Christianity, how it was founded, and why, what happened after it was established, where it all went wrong, and why Christianity is struggling today.Having been a protestant I can give you its history, and now being one of Jehovah`s witnesses I can give you its history also.

Experience

I have been speaking to people about this for over 30 years so that has given me experience.
