Christianity--Church History/Gregorian calender

Question
Hi there

If BC stands for "Before Christ" and AD stands for "After Death", then the calender should look something like this:
.... BC
1000 BC
 20 BC
  1 BC
  1 AD
100 AD
2005 AD etc etc.

My question is:  Where does the 30 odd years that Christ was alive fit in?

Regards

Answer
The World Book Encyclopedia says: “Dates before that year (Jesus birth) are listed as B.C., or before Christ. Dates after that year (Jesus birth) are listed as A.D., or anno Domini (in the year of our Lord)."

so since AD does not mean "after death" the question is answered.

thanks

Expertise

I love to study and have made a point of finding out all there is to know about Early Christianity, how it was founded, and why, what happened after it was established, where it all went wrong, and why Christianity is struggling today.Having been a protestant I can give you its history, and now being one of Jehovah`s witnesses I can give you its history also.

Experience

I have been speaking to people about this for over 30 years so that has given me experience.
