| Comment | Thank you so very much. The problem with "original sin" is that Augustine laid the groundwork for Christianity's guilt complex. In order for everyone to benefit from Christ's sacrifice, Augustine must have reasoned that all men were BORN in sin. If even 50% of the blame for the doctrine of original sin rests on Augustine, it may have been he who was the worst sinner of all for condemning man to such a fate. | ||
