Question
Where were the Apostles when the Holy Ghost came upon them at Pentecost? In the Upper Room? Were they in niding?

Answer
We only know that they were in a house when the Holy Spirit came upon them.  The Bible doesn't say which house but it could well have been the "Upper room" mentioned elsewhere.

They did have a tendency to hide after Jesus left their presence. I think it's good to notice this because we Christians don't often get a glimpse of "perfect" faith in our lives or in others.  And when we do have the peace that it brings, it often goes away quite suddenly.

It was for this reason that Jesus promised the Holy Spirit to be with us always:

John 14:16-19
16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever- 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
(from New International Version)

Did you ever notice how many times Jesus said "Fear not" or words like that to His disciples.  It takes real works of faith to come out of hiding.
