Question
When did teaching begin in the old testament?

Answer
Gary,

Thank you for your question. If I am understanding your question correctly, you are asking what is the first reference/mention of teaching in Scriptures. If this is incorrect, please let me know. Here is the first time in the Bible teaching is referenced...

Exodus 4:12
Now therefore go, and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shalt say.

However Gary, I believe the first time that teaching (which is defined as when someone explains to another person by direct knowledge, examples, or through parables something unknown to the other person) took place in the Bible is in the very beginning. When Adam and Eve sinned, God showed them how He was going to ultimately bring salvation and forgiveness of sins to all mankind, through the sinless Blood of the Son of God Jesus Christ.

Gen. 3:21
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

God slew an innocent animal, it's blood was spilled, and it's skin covered the nakedness of Adam and Eve. This was the first type/shadow of what Christ would do on the Cross. He willingly laid down His life, shed His sinless Blood, and now to all who will accept Him as Lord and Saviour, He clothes them with His righteousness.

Rev. 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Gary, please let me know if this helps, or if you have any further questions.

Experience

I gave my heart to the Lord a few months after being married during a revival meeting. A few weeks later I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I have not been the same since! In those twenty five years we have only attended one church (Harvest Church), and there I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. We minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president. In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

Organizations
I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma,
