Question
hello my assignment is:  To what extent do enlightnment understandings of the resurrection of jesus challenge patristic thinking? im having great difficulty. i cant find anything on the enlightnment period which links to the resurection. n i cant find ne theologians of that time who speak of the ressurection. please help me
thanks

Answer
Sorry, but enlightenment has little to do with any understanding of the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

The time which is called "enlightment" is usually around the French Revolution and its philosophy was anti-God.  Most people who follow this thinking say that they are dependent on sensory information only.   But they have many exceptions as long as it has nothing to do with God.
