Question
what rooms do churches need?

Answer
Dakota,

Christian greetings! I hope you don't mind, but your question was in the "question pool" section of the church history category, and I though I would try to answer this for you.

First let me be clear that the "church" is not any building, but all those who have received Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, and are placing their faith exclusively in the finished work of Christ on the Cross. Many are "Christian" by name only, and not by relationship. I just wanted to make this clear.

As far as rooms that would be absolutely needed in a building that the "church" would gather in, I suppose that one room, large enough to accommodate all them at one time for worship and preaching would be sufficient. I know of many local assemblies (churches) that are just one large room. There are several other rooms that would be convenient, and would help the needs of the church. For instance, a baptistery room, separate classrooms for teaching, nursery/cry rooms for children and nursing mothers, to name a few. Of course, restrooms would be nice too! LOL! :-)

Dakota, please let me know if this helps, or if you have any further questions.

Experience

I gave my heart to the Lord a few months after being married during a revival meeting. A few weeks later I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I have not been the same since! In those twenty five years we have only attended one church (Harvest Church), and there I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. We minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president. In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma,
