Question
QUESTION: Is it ok for Christian married couples to watch sex videos? If no, give scripture references.

ANSWER: Catonya,

I believe that it is not alright for Christian married couples to watch sex videos. The reason is that viewing pornography will erode healthy relationships and can become a pathway to adultery and other serious problems. Sexual intercourse within a godly marriage draws a couple and their desire to please one another, together physically, emotionally as well as spiritually. On the other hand , self-stimulation and sexual gratification for its own sake is simply to fulfill one’s own lust.

Although the Bible does not specifically speak of  pornography, it does addresses the issues of inappropriate sexual arousal and promiscuousness.

Exodus 20:14
Thou shalt not commit adultery.
20:17
Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife...

Jesus set an even higher standard clearly warning about the destructiveness of “just looking.”

Matthew 5:27
Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
5:28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
5:29
And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Hebrews 13:4
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

A marriage bed cannot be pure if one of the partners is fantasizing about another person.

Catonya, I hope that this helps. One last this, I hope you don't mind, but you have asked me several questions (which I am more than happy to answer) and you have said that you have tried to ask other volunteers these same questions, and I was wondering if you are being asked these same questions by someone else, or if these are just things you have been wanting to know? Just curious.

God Bless!

Experience

I gave my heart to the Lord a few months after being married during a revival meeting. A few weeks later I received the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and I have not been the same since! In those twenty five years we have only attended one church (Harvest Church), and there I have served there as an Elder for fourteen years. We minister in song with the choir and worship team. I am also the new member’s class coordinator, men's ministry director, and the Harvest Riders motorcycle ministry president. In 1993 the Lord called me to "...preach the Gospel where ever I open the door..." I have had the privilege of ministering God's Word to churches in Oklahoma, Texas, Louisiana and Arkansas. In those meetings we have seen the Lord save, heal, deliver, and fill people will His Spirit.

Organizations
I am ordained through Harvest Church, and with the World Harvest Ministerial Fellowship. I also am a licensed minister with the State of Oklahoma,
