Why do Most preachers lie to the people about CHRISTMAS! They say that Jesus was born on this day thats a lie, He was not even born around this month.  Infact Christmas has nothing to do with Jesus. This was a custom the pagans used to worship the saturn god with.  When Christmas comes around people are not talking about Jesus birthday they are talking about money, gifts, material goods.  The same way the pagans worshiped their god.  All my life I have gone by what the preacher says, now that I have been really studing the bible myself I now have questions. I want the truthful answer not hear say.

    I hear you and I don't really understand it either, I know that the Lord wasn't born anywhere in the month of December and I know that Christmas has nothing to do with the birth of the Lord, that it was something the Catholic church incorporated into the religion in order to get the Roman people of the time to follow Christianity, that way they could hold on to their pagan ways and gods.
     I don't understand how so many Christian preachers don't tell the truth to the people but I also think the people should know just like you and I do..My kids  have know the truth for the last 13 years when the Lord told me, I told them all.  That goes for Easter as well, we all know.  I do give gifts to my family at that time but I do it because it is just a holiday as far as I am concerned.  I don't know for sure why preachers don't tell the truth, my honest answer is I think they are afraid to. They are afraid people wont be a part of their Ministry and you are right they will loose money but I  also believe that perhaps God is calling out people today like yourself to proclaim the truth and you should.  I have no embarrassment of telling people that Christ wasn't born then.  I know it does make people mad when you proclaim the truth to them, If I were to tell my in-laws or even my Mom or brothers what I believe and know, I know they are gonna throw a fit, I don't really care but the argument that will ensue.

     I wont make excuses for anyone though, when I first got saved, I was angry about it, I have not become resolved to it but I know that God knows what He is doing, He is opening the eyes of His people, be progressive and let people know, but don't be angry when you do it, or condemning. God is not condemning, He is loving us to the truth.  Lead by example. Don't follow along with others who claim a lie to be the truth and when people ask why, tell them the interesting fact that you learned, {well you know I was studying and hey it shows in the Bible that Christ wasn't born December 25th at all, it is actually a celebration called Winter Solace that the people of that time celebrated, and so on and so on) It is easier to win someone to Christ with love then to berate them to Him.
    I don't get it either Hon but I believe God is raising up another generation to proclaim His truth, so let us walk out and let others know...
