Question
Where can a new Christian meet other Christians? I know in church, but I would like to meet others for long term friendship. What are some ways to meet someone like that?

Hi. Thanks for writing.
The obvious place is church, as you mentioned. If you live in a big enough city, shop around for churches and try to find one with a singles program. Do a google search with the keywords: Christian friendship to find websites for penpals and/or dating services. One of the biggest dating sites is Match.com which is not 100% Christian, but it leans towards religious matches. I personally know of 3 married couples who met on Match.com. Look around the net for other hobbies that you might have, and engage in conversations on-line - you can figure out later whether or not they're Christian.
