QuestionQUESTION: Hi,I need help with the question of salvation?
i think its like this.. were sinners, we have been given faith by God to either accept or reject using that faith to put in Jesus, who is our only salvation, that it is not our faith that saves us, the the object of our faith, and that very faith is a gift from him.
now, to be honest, im still left with the question, how do I know im using that faith in jesus christ?, this one I have not yet understood or answered, do you have any help you can give.

ANSWER: Chris
Salvation is always a difficult question. But it is really simple - if your faith has convicted you that Jesus died for your sin, then you are saved.
I guess I don't really understand your question about using your faith in jesus Christ. Could you elaborate, please?
thanks,
carl

QUESTION: yeah, I thought it was all meant to be simple aswell, Im sure it is aswell, I mean its the good news, not the comlicated news that you need some guru to understand, how on earth would people who dont even have a bible or internet come to know God and be saved, It must be simple, it has to be!.
maby i can re-phrase the question like.
how do I know i have faith in jesus?
how do i know its real and not fake?
thanks for your time and help! it means alot

AnswerChris-
Okay, that's a lot clearer, and what I thought you meant.
Simple answer? There is no simple answer, that's why it's called fake. If you continue to seek His will in your life, spend time with reading the Bible and going to worship, and even questioning if it's real or not, are all ways to convince you that it IS real.
People often wonder, "Do I REALLY believe in God?" If you ask that question, I think the answer is obvious - of course you do. If you never asked that question, God would never be in your life at all, and there would be no question to ask - you'd simply not believe. Same thing goes for getting mad at God. If you were a non believer, you wouldn't be mad at God, you'd be mad at your bad luck. Being mad at God and questioning if your faith is real, are both ways to ensure you that you do, indeed, believe in God.
I'm 61, and I've doubted a lot in my life, but the older I get, the more I realize that God is real.
hope this helps. Please take the time to rate my answer.
blessings,
carl
