Question
Hello, I have several questions to ask about how to live life and follow Jesus but I dont want to bombardge you so I'll list them and break down what i mean to ask.

1.How can I overcome the fear my soul isn't saved?
-I acepted Jesus at 13 and was baptized around that age as well, i have had a really crazy and messed up life and that made me feel numb to everyone....even god and Jesus. So I'm 19 now and i wanna be saved, but its so hard because i've been prayin to Jesus and trying to be god and asking for forgiveness but im still scared im going to hell.

2.How can I overcome my lust
-I was molested when i was a little kid and "conditiond" to be sexual by the person that molested me. By the time I learned about Jesus and everything I wasnt sure how to stop masterbating(since i was 5) or how to control my sexual desires/lust.

3.How can I be sure I am saved?
-I try to overcome all my vices and evil but i fail sometimes and sin, i ask for forgivness but how can i be sure i am forgiven.

4.How can one live in a world with so many prophets and religons?
-I mean, I am scared because theres so many religions, each one with its own version of hell and how to be saved. I get scared sometimes and start to doubt god sometimes. I am fearful because I've lived hell on earth, and im scared ima experience hell after earth too...and i only got one chance, I've been praying for god to talk to me or show himself to me (I know its wrong but im very scard).

5.Is cursing a sin?
- I curse alot (f*$k, or as$,) like that, is it bad?

6.How can I be forgiven completey for my sins?
-I wanna wipe the slate clean on my life and just live anew and get to heaven.

I'm sorry for the long question and explict details, but its nerve racking and I just wanna be a good person and put everything behind me and be saved. Please respond back.

-John

Answer
Hi John-

Questions 1, 3, and 6 are the same.  Once you are saved, you are saved.  You will continue sinning because you are human, but you are nonetheless saved.  We all have a nature to sin, but because Jesus died, we can all be saved if we put our trust in him.  How do you know you are saved?  You just do.  It's a matter of faith.  I can't prove it to you or convince you of it, you have to do that for yourself.  Know that God forgives you every time you sin if you truly repent and try not to sin again.

Question 2 This is a tough question.  I suggest you visit http://xxxchurch.com/gethelp/ for help with lust.  They have far more answers than I do.

Question 4  Jesus said he was the way, the truth, and the life.  That's good enough for me.  You have to choose which prophet/religion to follow, but only Jesus said that He was the only one way to get to God.

Question 5  Yes. It is disrespectful to the people around you.

I hope this helps.  let me know if you need more complete answers.

blessings,
carl
