Question
QUESTION: Dear Carl, Have you, as Paul asked Johns' disciples, "received the Spirit since you believed?"

ANSWER: Yes, I've received the touch of the Holy Spirit, why do you ask?

QUESTION: May I ask Carl, if you have any of the *gifts of the Spirit* as 1 Cor 12 mentions, manifested as evidence? I ask because of the sad fact that way too many christians that have been saved through faith in Christ, have never received the Spirit, as Paul recognized in Acts 19, of Johns disciples.... And we know from Pauls writing in 1Cor 2, to understand the spiritual meaning of the scriptures one must possess the same spirit that caused men to write it! We also need the indwelling Spirit to work in/with us, to bring us into the maturity of Christlikeness as the scriptures and mandate of Our Lord conscribes to every believer...!

It also causes me some reflection on why, when we are to be *filled* with the Spirit, you mention just *touched*.... ?

Sincerely In Him.

One never has to fear the man who asks for the evidence of ones foundation, but to fear the one who says..."all is well!"

Answer
I'm not sure where this conversation is leading to, but I feel no obligation to answer your questions until I at least know of your intentions of what you're going to do with the answers.

I believe that one's faith story is very personal, and I only share it with people that I know well.  I don't know you, and I don't particularly care for your tone.  It appears as though you're questioning if my faith is strong enough.  Well, it is.

I'd prefer to end this conversation right here before it becomes an argument about theolgy.

Blessings,

Carl
