Question
Am a guy,who is 23 years old. I've been going dating this girl whom we agreed together that we will not engage in any sexual activity until we get married. But unfortunately things have went according to our initial plan. Now am confused whether we should our relationship because we have sinned before the Lord. While that being the best option, it wouldn't feel good in future when am with someone besides her. I love this girl and she is the first  person ive been with and I promised her that i will marry her. PLEASE HELP:
Yours in Christ, Desmond

Answer
Desmond,

Breaking up is not a good option.  If you have sinned, ask God for forgiveness, and try not to go there again.  God does not want to punish you because you had sex, he's already forgiven you  - you just need to accept that forgiveness.  If you're serious enough to talk about marriage, then make plans towards that goal.  Just try to stay away from the sexual activity until you get married.  Yea, I know that's almost impossible to do, but you must try.

hope this helps,

carl
