i need help the past years of my life have been strange.Ihave been haveing weird dreams and doing and saying things that sound creepy  and i dont know why. once i had a weird dream that some presists in black robes took me and planted something on my back they took me to a desert and cut my back.When i woke up i had pain on my back then thats when i started to feel weird i took a hot iron and made the mark of the beast on my arm 666 i with no time i was praying to satan and made a covenant with him i gave him my soul a covenant of blood and earth ...i dont know why i was doing this but somehow it felt like a force that was driving me do it :(and now  its been many years since i did that i have repented my sins and am trying to be a better christian but strange things are really happening to me every time i tell a friend about God i hear voices in my head and once i was trying teling my boyfriend how he could be a christian and well my dog started to act weird barking at something we could not see my boyfriend says he saw a flash the situation was really scary we started to pray then the door slammed hard by itself .Thats when he started to belive in christ .Ever since i have been haveing strange dreams i dreamt about snakes and bats its really hard.My boyfriend got visited by something in his dream i dont know what it was had a back long black cloth and a hood covering the face and it was just standing watching him :( we are really troubled alot of things happen i just need to know is this normal? or is our mind playing tricks on us ? pleas help

Thank you for your question and sorry for the slow reply. It seems like all I've done over the last few days is say sorry for being so slow!

Whilst I understand this is all very scary (and I speak from experience, I went through a period last year where swear words would keep coming into my head unbidden. I couldn't stop it, it was awful) and it's not something you hear about everyday, you are not alone. It sounds like satan is trying to give you a hard time.

First off, I have to ask, when you repented of your sins, did you ask Jesus into your life? I imagine you must have because without what Jesus did for us on the cross, it would be impossible to seek forgiveness of sins. But I have to ask because if you haven't quite got the point of giving your life to Jesus, part of what you're experiencing could be a spiritual battle.

Both you and your boyfriend need Jesus. And you also need to ask Jesus for the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit isn't just a nice little blessing from God, He IS God. So ask God to fill you to the brim with His Holy Spirit. If you're full up with God, there'll be no room for satan and his tricks.

If the scary stuff starts up again, talk to God. Ask Him to protect you and give you peace. God will not let anything dreadful happen to you that is not part of His plan for your life. Don't misunderstand me, hard stuff happens to good people. But know that ultimately, all things work for the good of those who love God.

Then read the bible aloud. One of my favorite passages for knocking satan into touch is Ephesians 6:10-18. Try reading out loud. It's empowering, encouraging and will help make the devil stop.

The final thing I personally used a lot when the voices were in my head was singing praise songs. Find your favorite CD of songs that praise and worship our awesome God and sing along. God loves getting all the glory for being so brilliant so know for sure that satan will hate it!

So the short answer is, no, this isn't normal but no, it isn't your mind playing tricks on you.
