Question
QUESTION: So I shouldn't hurt myself because of this?

ANSWER: You should never hurt yourself for ANY reason.  God loves you, and has a plan for you.  No one ever said it would be easy, and a lot of the time it's not easy, but really, really hard.

If you are thinking of hurting yourself, you need to talk to someone in person - a teacher, a counselor, your parents, or your minister.

I'm praying for you.

QUESTION: Well can I ask for your opinion?

There's a girl at my school and she is one of my friends and she is going through abuse issues and she is on the verge of killing herself, she's even cutting herself and she's starting to sound convincing of actually doing it.I don't want to see her dead but I'm the only one that she has told so far.If she stays in her household she has two options:Get abused more or kill herself before they kill her.
I want to tell the counselor but then her mom might beat her more. What should I do to help her?

Answer
Even if you don't listen to any other advice I've given you, LISTEN NOW VERY CAREFULLY.

Do not hesitate - tell the counselor at school IMMEDIATELY.  Anyone who cuts or threatens to kill themselves must be taken seriously.  You will not make the situation any worse by telling the counselor - your friend is already at risk.

Please, I urge you, tell the counselor NOW.  Don't tell your friend first, because she will probably try to talk you out of it.  Tell the counselor NOW.

blessings,

carl
