Christianity --Youth Issues/Sexuality?

QuestionQUESTION: Well it says clearly in the Bible that being gay or a lesbian is wrong,an abomination which means that He wouldn't create anyone or anything that contridicts His Wrod.Do you actually believe that your sexuality is something you're born with?
ANSWER: If you look at all the texts that talka about being gay or Lesbian, they're actually talking about practicing gay or lesbian sex. There is a HUGE difference. Let me try to explain.
I believe you are what you are, because God made you that way, whether it be gay/lesbian, bi, or straight.
We are all born with tendency to desire sinful things or act sinfully. As a heterosexual, there are times that I may desire women other than my wife. That's a sin in itself, made worse if I ever acted on it. It's the same way with gay/lesbian - they have an innate desire to have sex with someone of the same sex. If they remain celibate, they are NOT sinning, and they are NOT an abomination. Only if they practice sex with the same sex are they an abomination.
Some people want to steal, some want to drink to excess, some want to do drugs. All these things may be a disease or the way God made them. But if they never act on that desire, they are not sinners.
I hope this makes sense. Bottom line is that BEING a lesbian is not a sin - God may have made you that way. PRACTICING lesbian sex IS a sin, and an abomination.
The problem in our society is that too many people "cherry pick" a particular sin that they don't like, and then they accuse everyone else except themselves of having that sin. See www.godhatesfags.com. That's the website of a church that preaches against mostly homosexuals and they blame homosexuals for everything from the decay of society to the war in Iraq. They are a bunch of whackos. Sexual sin is no worse than any other sin - God places no distinction on which sin is the worst - they are all equally distasteful to Him.
Hope this helps,
Carl

QUESTION: So basically you are calling me a bisexual or a lesbian?Is that what you're trying to get to?
ANSWER: No Corrina, that's NOT what I said. I don't know what you are, all I'm saying is that God made you, no matter what your orientation.

QUESTION: But why would GOD make something that He is against?
AnswerCorrina-
It's extremely difficult to understand, because it doesn't really make sense, but millions of people have been trying to and have determined that maybe it DOES make sense.
God gives us the brain to choose between good and evil. Everything we do is a choice. That's called free will.
If God made us like machines that would always make the right choice, I think it would be a pretty boring world.
God makes everything in the Universe, good and bad. It is up to us to make the good choices as to how we live our life. All of us have an inherent nature to do some evil, which is called original sin. Wikipedia explains it this way:
~~~~~~~~~~
Original sin is, according to a doctrine proposed in Christian theology, humanity's state of sin resulting from the Fall of Man. This condition has been characterized in many ways, ranging from something as insignificant as a slight deficiency, or a tendency toward sin yet without collective guilt, referred to as a "sin nature", to something as drastic as total depravity or automatic guilt by all humans through collective guilt.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
All of us have sin nature, and each of us has our own sins to work out and choose not to do them.
God makes all of us, and gives us everything, including that sin nature. But God also provides us a way out, by choosing good over evil.
Does this make any sense to you?
