Question
Hi my name is Jenny i am in 5th grade and there is this really cute guy in my class, his name is Matt.I really wish he would notice me or even like me.How do i get him to like me my friends say be myself but i don't know, nothing seems to work. Please please help me make him my boyfreind!

Answer
Hi Jenny-

First of all, I think a 5th grader is too young to be dating or have a boyfriend.  If you want Matt to be your friend, then just ask him over to your house to play video games or watch TV or listen to music.  Just be yourself - he's either going to say yes or no.  If he says yes, then you've got what you want, if he says no, there will be many other boys who take a liking to you.  If he doesn't like you, or doesn't want to hang out with you, there's nothing that you can do to make him.  It's just a fact of life - sometimes we like people who don't like us back.  I'm sure that God has a plan, and it includes a man for you when you get older, much older.

Hope this helps,

hugs,

carl
