I am 17 and I an thinking of/dating a catholic she's 15 but I don't know what to expect with this one because I know that catholic and Lutheran haven't been the "best of friends" in the past.

Hi Kyle-

Good news:  She's Christian.

Bad News:  She's Catholic.


Actually, Catholic and Lutheran aren't really that far apart, despite what Martin Luther nailed to the Wittenburg door.

What should you expect?  A reluctance on her part to go to your church, because she's been indoctrinated to believe that the Roman Catholic Church is the one true church.

I wouldn't worry too much about it.  If she doesn't want to go to your church, then just go with her to hers.  You won't be able to take communion, but other than that, you will be accepted.  If you're still dating when you're 22 and 24, then we need to talk some more.
