Question
This is more of a statement than a question, homosexuality is not a sin and from an early age, a person simply knows that they might be gay before having the words to describe it. I once saw something that was both an opinion and an interpretation which said that God created homosexuals to have people of the same gender love each other, but I don't know what God was trying to accomplish by doing this. I believe that Christians who call homosexuality a sin and deny it's existence are being bigoted and intolerant especially when they say that gays are going to hell. Another thing I'd like to add is that the Bible may not be the true word of God because the Bible was written by man, and unfortunately, most of us humans are intolerant, bigoted, and hateful, therefore, since the Bible was written by man, they felt like writing their own biased opinions in the Bible. It makes me angry when Christians call homosexuality a sin. If Christians truly followed in Christ's footsteps they would love other people unconditionally just like Jesus did, so it troubles me that alot of Christians have strayed from the true teachings of Christ.

Answer
Hi David,

Thank you for these comments.  ALthough there is no question here, I feel that your words must be responded to.  I am very sorry for my late response.  As I said in my bio, I answer everything based upon a presupposition that the Bible is the Word of God.  THe Bible has not changed... and God is very clear about the sin of homosexuality.  You said that you believe the words of Jesus, remember He said He came to fulfill not abolish the law.  The Law written by Moses tells us clearly that homosexuality is forbidden.

Lev 18:22  Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
Lev 18:23  Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
Lev 18:24  Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
Lev 18:25  And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.

THe New Testament also gives us a clear picture of this sin.

Rom 1:26  For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Rom 1:27  And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

If you are going to believe the Bible, you have to accept the fact that homosexuality is a sin.  If you reject scripture, that is your right.  It is not hate to call something sin that the Bible calls sin... we can love the sinner and hate the sin... just like we love those who commit heterosexual sin before marriage... we hate the sin and love the sinner.

I hope that this helps you.
