Christianity --Youth Issues/Bi Bestie

Question
I will spare you all the extra stuff and just try to make this really short. I'm Linc, I am 15 and my best friend just came out as bi-sexual.

Everybody else knew since 4th or 5th grade, I knew almost for sure by Middle School and now I know for 100 per cent sure that my friend is Bi because he told me.

We used to show our dicks to each other but not since we were like 9 years old and we never touched each other.

He knows that I am a Christian and he knows about the Bible and so I'm pretty active at my church and he doesn't mind. My Dad strongly thinks I should find a new best friend but he says the decision is totally up to me and that he will still be nice to Troy.

So I hate to end a friendship with someone that I really enjoy spending time with and who lives on my same street. I think it'd be stupid to just say to him "don't ever talk to me again".

Why should I stop talking to my best friend?

Answer
I don't think you should dump your best friend just because he's bi, but you have to understand that by associationa, many people will think you are in a relationship, even though you're not.  Be prepared for lame gay jokes which will rub over on you.  I think you should ask your friend if he's just a friend, or if he has romantic intentions towards you.  If so, you need to tell him right now to forget that notion for it's never going to happen.

Most of all, you need to be a faithful Christian and let your friend know that he's still loved, but he needs to stay away from homosexual activity.  God has called him to be better than that.

That's my opinion.  Let me know what you think in some feedback by rating my reply.

Blessings,
carl
