Question
QUESTION: hi,
i am a reader of your answers,it has helped me a lot.thanks for this ministry.would you explain the unforgiveable sin(sin against the holy spirit)?

ANSWER: The unforgiveable sin is in Mark 3:28-29

28  "I assure you that any sin can be forgiven, including blasphemy;
29  but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. It is an eternal sin."

Some people worry about committing the unapardonable sin by accident, but if you have Jesus in your heart, there's no way that's going to happen.  Just by worrying about it indicates that you don't want to commit it, so you can't possibly commit it.  Does that make sense to you?  It does to me.

So, don't worry about commiting it, because you obviously already have Jesus in your heart.

Please take the time to rate my answer.

QUESTION: thanks for your reply.whats the  significance of baptism.i go to a church whre babies(only few months old) are baptized. They say its right as jesus was taken 2 church when he was 8 days old.....bible mentions the whole family of.....was baptized.....character formation is in initial years...etc etc.but in our place itself there is another church which says its meaningless as the indivitual who is being baptized doesnt realize it. so they baptize only adults, who themselves want to be baptized.1)which is right?2)is adult baptism necessary if one has taken during infancy?3) significance of baptism

ANSWER: Baptism, which is right Infant or adult?

1)Well, they're both right, depends on your church.  Most Christian churches believe in infant baptism.  Exceptions are Baptist, Pentecostal, some non-denominationals, some evangelicals.  Roman Catholics go to the extreme and mandate it, others practice it.

The Biblical basis for infant baptism is Acts 16:15 (and other places) where the whole household was baptised.  There are other mentions of that, too.  The practice, as belived by most churches, was the replacement of cirucmcision.

2) No, most churches believe that once you're baptised, you're baptised for good.  Notable exception being the Baptist churches which practice multiple baptisms for Adults.  In churches that practice infant baptism, they have a ritual called confirmation where a child of a certain age who understands the meaning of baptism can take those vows themselves and become a member of the church.

3)significance of baptism:  your sins are ritually washed away, and you become a member of God's family.

hope this helps. thanks for the ratings.

QUESTION: hi sir,
1)the bible says an evil spirit from god came to king saul.how can an evil spirit come from god?
2)is thinking about having love and sex in a married life ok?i am a girl so i think about it with someone who would be my husband(not a male whom i know now)
thanks in advance

Answer
I'm presuming that you're talking about 1 Samuel 16:14.

1) Can God send an evil spirit?  Of course, God has control over the entire universe, including the evil spirit's world.  The greatest example of this is in the book of Job where God allows the devil himself to terrorize Job.

2) Sure, I think day dreams are important, allowing you to plan for your future.  Knowing the goal you have is necessary to achieve it.  I woud guard against the dreams becoming too sexually explicit, however, for obvious reasons.  You wouldn't want to become sexually aroused which would cause you to desire to masturbate, which could become sinful.
