Question
Hi Carl, I read a response to a girl's question where you said that you didn't know whether the Bible mentioned tattoos or not. Well Leviticus 19:28 clearly says not to. I'm not doubting your knowledge of the Bible itself, but I do worry that while giving advice you misinterpret the context.

Answer
Thanks for the reference,

Isaiah 44 says in verse 5  Some will proudly claim, 'I belong to the LORD.' Others will say, 'I am a descendant of Jacob.' Some will write the Lord's name on their hands and will take the honored name of Israel as their own.

Some will write the Lords name on their hands.  Sounds like a tattoo to me.

Thanks for writing.
