QuestionQUESTION: ok i am 16 yrs and i so want to be a better person...i strive to be an independent motivated intellectual and most importantly a very spiritual person............i believe my calling is to become a youth psychologist and a motivational speaker..........i believe though that one incident that occured in my life is causing me to hold back on being this person wholly!!!...growing up in school i have been verbally abused which can sometimes haunt me then i lose confidence in myself to just express me as an individual...i know that i shouldn't worry about what people think but i guess this experience may take over and its like i can't control it!!!...how do i overcome this fear of being rejected and critisized and just let loose not being fearful of expressing who i really am and then finally being able to improve on who i want to be!!!!???
ANSWER: It's very natural to feel this way at your age. I'm only a year older than you are and I feel the same way. I feel almost the same with my attitude as you do too. That's why I signed up for this website. It's always hard to tell people how to overcome their fears without really knowing them. Remember, you feel that you should be doing this so there really is no need to worry about what others think. You are there to help them. I'm sure that there are people who will always criticize you but as long as you do what you know is right, they can't really hurt you. I think that's where a lot of people get confused. You need to stay true to yourself and not try to please so many people at once. There will always be people who will go against you but then there are those who will always support you for being honest and for being yourself. Remember that. It might be taking a risk but it's worth it. Trust me.

QUESTION: ...thanx i appreciate it...its good to hear that from someone around my age someone who gets it...i'm actually a seventh day adventist and I strive to be more like God as much as I poossibly can and yeah i totally agree................:-)...what's a morman btw???
AnswerI'm glad I could help you a little bit. It's always hard to just forget everything and be who you are. But you'll get used to doing it. There are more people who want to hear what you say than who don't want to hear it. Remember that. Just be honest.
I'll try to explain what a Mormon is in the best way I can on here but please email me if you have any other questions about what I say. You can do it through Allexperts. I will answer you either way.
A Mormon is someone who is part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The name "mormon" is just a nickname that people thought of when they learned that we had a book kind of like the Bible called the Book of Mormon. We believe that Christ died for us but that He still lives. We believe in a Heavenly Father who cares for us and has made a plan for us to be together forever with Him and our own families. We believe that God still speaks to us through prophets. We believe in the Bible as long as it is translated correctly and we also believe that there are more words of God that are written, like the Book of Mormon. We believe in eternal life and that we can all be saved through God's mercy and through the Atonement of Christ as long as we do our part.
There is a lot more to what we believe but some of it is pretty deep. If you want more information, just let me know and I'll help you. But that is the very basic of our beliefs. Please let me know if you want to know anything else.
