i am 16 years old and i have never had a boyfriend. all my other friends have boyfriends and keep asking me why i don't have one,  the truth is i have had guys ask me out but i never said yes because they were the kind of guys that only want sex or eventually expect it from their girlfriends. i really want a good Christian boyfriend but its so hard to find guys that are my age that are serious, Christians like me. how can i get a serious, Christian boyfriend?

HI Allissa, Its hard swimming against the tide isnt it :¬) Im not surprised your finding it difficult to find a "good christian boyfriend", as the Bible tells us that the majority of religions are on the "broad road", while only a "few" are on the "narrow road leading to life" (Matthew 7;13,14)

so what you need to do is find the "narrow road" because it is full of people, young & old who really serve God in the correct manner & that includes refraining from sex before marriage.

Here is an example of one youth on this narrow road--

"a young single woman named Esther. She was getting a medical checkup when her doctor matter-of-factly inquired: “What method of contraception are you using?” When Esther replied, “I’m not using any,” her doctor exclaimed: “What! Do you want to get pregnant? How do you expect not to get pregnant if you’re not using anything?” Esther replied: “Because I’m not having sex"

Her doctor stared at her in disbelief. “This is unbelievable,” he said. “Kids come in here 13 years old, and they are no longer virgins. You are a remarkable person.”

What made Esther “remarkable”? She obeyed the Bible’s admonition: “Now the body is not for fornication [including premarital sex] . . . Flee from fornication.” (1 Corinthians 6:13, 18) Yes, she recognized premarital sex as a serious sin against God! “This is what God wills,” states 1 Thessalonians 4:3, “that you abstain from fornication.”
