My daughter is a 22 yr. old Christian,I'm her mom and she is really upset because her friend,a Christian,deleted her from her Facebook because my daughter had pictures of Adam Lambert on there.Her 'friend' said that she didn't like the pictures that my daughter was posting.I post the exact same pictures, Adam performing,he is a singer and yes, he is gay.My daughter now thinks she is an evil person for liking Adam.PLZ help us with this.THANKS! First of all, God doesn't hate anyone.  What He hates is sin.  BEING homosexual is not a sin.  ACTING on that feeling, i.e. having gay sex, IS a sin.  God loves Adam Labert and hates the fact that he is allegedly having gay sex.

Second of all, any true Christian, in my book, isn't going to be so petty as to unfriend someone because of pictures they post, unless they were totally offensive.  A picture of a gay singer, unless he's performing a sex act on stage, is hardly offensive to the vast majority of Christians.

God, I believe, is applauding your daughter for liking someone, i.e. Adam Lambert, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Here's the story from a conservative Christian perspective on homosexuality.  The Bible says that practicing homosexuality, i.e., having sex with someone of the same gender, is abominable.  The Bible also says that no sin is beyond the reach of God's grace except the sin against the Holy Spirit, which is blasphemy, i.e. rejecting God's grace entirely.

It is not up to us to judge whether or not Adam is having sex, nor whom is having sex with.  That's God's job.  God wants us to love everyone, and I believe your daughter is doing that.

I think your daughter should be commended, and I think she needs to find some different friends, ones who will not condemn her for being friendly to gays.
