Christianity --Youth Issues/QUESTION ON MARRIAGE

Question
Is age a matter when it comes to marriage. I am 23 and my friend is 11 month older. People say God created Adam before Eve so husband must be older than the wife is this true?

Answer
Marriage age is more a cultural than Biblical matter - it depends on the culture you live in.  It's not necessary for a man to be older than the woman (this is actually a sexist thought).  When both of you are within a year or two of each other, it really doesn't make that much difference once you hit 21.  Younger than that, e.g. a 20 year old dating an 17 year old would be a bad idea because of maturity level, but once you hit 21, males and females are more likely to be the same maturity level.  And I have seen marriages work with up to 8-10 years difference.

So, my answer is no.  As long as you are close in maturity and spirituality, age doesn't matter.
