I am 35 and had sexual encounters with a girl that I was head over heals for.  We are both very faith based and want to live for the will of god.  Our relationship started to move very fast and we allowed our flesh to take control.  She brought up the fact that we were doing it all wrong and that we needed to take time apart.  Since then we have talked a little but it just isn't the same.  Do you feel that a relationship can continue or be repaired when it is started off wrong if you take it back to square one.  After asking the lord for forgiveness and agreeing to build your relationship by gods will.

I think your girlfriend is wise.  And I think that there is plenty of hope for you.  Back off for a few months, then if it feels right, call her.  You can start the relationship all over again with God more involved.  Falling in love once is wonderful - falling in love twice, with the same girl is even more wonderful.  Although the time line was a bit different - this situation parallels my relationship with my wife - we started twice.  We've been married now for 41 years.
