Christianity --Youth Issues/Tattoos

Question
Hi. I've always liked the idea of having a small tattoo on my wrist, but I never seriously considered it for so many reasons. Parents wouldn't approve, I think God wouldn't approve, the skin damage, the pain, etc. But I was thinking of getting a temporary henna tattoo, which is totally safe. But there was a part in the bible that said you can't get tattoos, and I assumed it was because it damages the body, but would henna body art be okay? I'm not sure, because I don't wanna disobey Him. Thanks.

Answer
Carmen-

I don't have any problem with tattoos, unless they're anti-God or devil insired.  I especially like Christian tattoos which take a real commitment.  I would love to get a tattoo, but for medical reasons cannot risk it.

I think a henna tattoo is fine, and I don't think God would mind either.

As for getting a REAL tattoo, don't think about it until you're at least 16 (to make the decision to mark your skin for life), with your parent's approval, or 18 when you don't need your parent's permission (but may still incur their wrath).

blessings,
