hi,
i'm finney,a pentecostal believer from birth,accepted christ as my savior and got baptised in age 15 from kerala,india.
I found that the teachings according to the pentecostals are atleast 80% true to bible when compared to other christian denominations.
My dad's a pastor serving the lord.
But i dont understand some of the rules setforth by our forefathers like no ornaments,white dress in church and where ever possible,no christmas,no easter and not even birthday parties.
For the ornament issue
if the lord wanted to ban them why did he commanded moses to make the priestly dress with ornaments,precious stones?
For the white dress
why do you have to show that you are externally holy while that holiness is no where near your soul?why being a fake to show men that you are holy?

I still do not understand why xmas,easter and birthday parties are banned?
For my birthday my parents keep their hands on my head and pray for me,but no parties.

Kindly do not ignore this doubt.

THE TEACHINGS OF THE PENTECOSTALS ARE 80% TRUE TO BIBLE.

Even if they were 80% true, God only approves of religion that is 100% true to bible teachings.

THE ORNAMENT ISSUE & WHITE DRESS?

Paul showed the value of concentrating on the things that are of real importance instead of getting involved in controversy over petty meanings and possible connections that are not of obvious significance. (1 Cor. 10:25, 26; 2 Tim. 2:14, 23) In that way the Christian can concentrate on “righteousness and peace and joy with holy spirit,” which help a person to get to the core of what the kingdom of God means.—Rom. 14:17.

There is nothing wrong with ornaments & the bible doesn’t say a white dress must be worn.

WHY XMAS,EASTER AND BIRTHDAY PARTIES ARE BANNED?

ah now the bible DOES tell us why these things should be shunned

These holidays are of PAGAN origin, xmas comes from the birthday of the SUN, Easter comes from the goddess Istarte, & Jesus & the early Christians did not celebrate their birthday, it was a pagan custom, only heathens celebrated their birthday.

Did you know the bible says there is only ONE true religion?
