QUESTION: i am a born again believer that experienced quite a traumatic coming to christ and yielding to the holy spirit. until one day i was at work and a thought popped in my mind.. " i know satin can deceive people very easily i hope he hasnt deceived me into thinking im saved" immediately i felt no remorse and i felt as if the holy spirit has left me and i think i committed the unpardonable sin. i just feel like im going to hell no matter what. i realized after i thought this i was comparing the holy spirit in my life with that of satan i cant feel him no more like i used to. help??!!

ANSWER: Hi Brad.... Your problem is a common one Brad.. You have been going on *feelings* and *emotion*, which is usual at first. Because the Lord does so with all His children. This feeling and seeing the moves and miracles and answered prayers are Gods way of getting you settled into His reality in your life....... BUT THEN, at just the right time it is as if, He's gone. Left you alone. No feelings, emotions, answer to prayer, nothing but feeling forsaken. This is the moment of opportunity that the devil uses to get you over into anxiety, questioning, doubting, and fear.

But don't worry, it is part of the Lords plan to teach His children how to walk by faith, not by feelings, or emotions which give opportunity to the enemy to play tricks upon. We are to walk by faith, in what God tells us in His word, not by what are feelings and emotions are bringing about. He said. " I will never leave you, nor forsake you!" He is not a liar, even though you may feel He has. Understand?

He wants and will teach you to go by His word, same as Jesus did. Remember Jesus when He walked as a human. In the garden His battle with His emotions and feelings were only overcome by His holding to Gods promise in the Old testament, that spoke of His dying on a cross, and in three days He would raise him from the dead. Jesus knew the Word, and that is all He had to hold onto in his hour of testing. The word, held to by faith...
Matthew 26:54 and 56...

My friend who has passed on now. Was a very bad man, but came to Christ, and Jesus changed him. But my friend had a very hard time believing Jesus loved Him because of how bad a man he used to be. So one afternoon when my friend was on the toilet thinking about this, Jesus appeared to him in the bathroom. My friend said, Jesus just put out His arms toward him, and said, ' My son, I love you, I love you, I love you!" and vanished...  My friend never had a problem with believing that Jesus loved him again.

However a month or so later my friend wanted to have Jesus visit him again, as He had that time. Listen to what Jesus said to my friend. " My son, do not desire to have a visitation from Me as before, for the enemy will come as a counterfeit, and you will be deceived. !"

My friend needed that visitation to be enabled to get over that stumbling block. So Jesus did what was necessary for my friend. But to want that visitation again, could invite trouble, thereby the warning. We know Him by the spirit, and His word gives us the measure, not our feelings or emotions.

So you haven't blasphemed,, you haven't commited the unpardonable sin, you have just entered the next stage of learning how to walk like Christ.

Sincerely In Christ.

QUESTION: Did the same thing happened to you regarding the feeling of being left after a while after watching him work so much in your life when you first started your relationship wIth Christ?

Answer
Hi Brad...... Yes Brad, and many, many, other christians, have had the same experience.....! It is important that this lesson be learned early.... !  Some can't move forward in the things of the Lord because they want to hold on to the feelings, and emotions they had as the Lord was revealing Himself to them..! But the kingdom of the Lord is a faith kingdom, and the sooner one comes to put His trust in the Word of God,about the situations, purposes, whys and wherefores of this new life, the better. Otherwise it leaves room for the liar to come along and have the believer in a quandry, and drives them to distraction, guilt, obsession, depression, oppression, and even to the point of wanting to end their lives....

Jesus said, the devil comes to lie, to steal, to cheat, and to kill. So the Lord works with us, in getting us to walk by faith early in our journey.

That is why the word of God is so important to a believer. Study to show yourself approved a workman that need not be ashamed....  Keep  the Word before your eyes, and in your mouth, and especially in your heart..

This as mentioned Brad happens to all new christians that have a heart to follow Jesus, as yourself.

So don't fret, but realize He is for you, not against you... He truly is a good Shepherd that knows and cares for His sheep, for which He has paid a great price.  He isn't going to lose any without a cause..

Ok?

Sincerley In Christ Jesus

Mr Burns.

PS. As you start to walk by faith in Him, in what He has had written for our benefit, your relationship with Him will be more than words can describe.. For His word is Spirit, and Life...  He is the Word, and as you partake of Him, you will come to know and understand and comprehend Him even more...
