Question
I just recieved your response on my last question. Anyways have you stuggled with your faith like I have I am really feeling like I am the only one who has. Finally, I have one other question. Like I have stated before, do I only need to judge Emily on what she does now, and not the past. I still cant seem to get over the fact that on her profile she said she didnt drink, but on who she was looking for she put "any" on drink status. I'd assume that I need to focus on the fact that she said she didnt drink on her profile. I am just so scared that I will go to hell, if my intentions were wrong and that I lowered my standards when I was searching for a partner. We talked last night again about my unevenly yoked problem again. She said shes a christian, im a christian, she doesnt drink, i dont drink, she doesnt cuss, i dont cuss, she goes to church, i go to church, she reads the Bible, I read the Bible. Should I focus on those sole facts and what is reality my therapist says. Besides prayer do u have any advice has to how to overcome this

Answer
Jacob-

You don't need to judge Emily AT ALL.  Does she judge you?  I don't think you're unevenly yoked at all.  What she put down in the past is in the past.  You're looking at the future - what difference does it make what she did in the past - we have a forgiving God - God has already forgiven her (and you) for what's happened in the past.

I think your therapist is brilliant - focus on the reality of the situation, and the reality is that you're both Christian.

Prayer is one way, the other is to take your meds, and continue with your therapy.  You will get better one day.

blessings,
carl
