Question
I'm doing a speech on how reaching out to the hip-hop culture reduces street crime.  I can't seem to find ANYTHING relating the two together.  it's really frustrating me and I was wondering if you had any ideas about where I could find a website or something about the subject.  I appreciate your help!

Answer
Hi John-

Tough topic.  I did a Google on "hip hop crime reduction" and got a few hits.  You might want to do a google search using various combinations of those words.  Try also dogpile.com - a search engine that actually uses a lot of other search engines.

Also, depending on how much time you have, you may want to contact the Center for Parent Youth Understanding.  Walt Mueller is the recognized expert on youth media culture - he might have something to say about it.  the website is:

http://www.cpyu.org/default.asp

that's all I got.  Hope it helps.
