I was wondering if the bible actually says that swearing is bad, other than not using God's name in vain.

Ephesians 4:29
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.  
The King James Version, (Cambridge: Cambridge) 1769.

Corrupt means rotten...  surely curse words are rotten words.
