thanks in advance for answering my question. So, i want to be a writer, or at least something in that field, and i feel that the best place to get the most exposure for that kind of thing is at an art-focused school. the problem is, i don't want to sacrifice church and my beliefs for school. and it seems like no schools are art and christianity focused. do you know any?

Hi Mercy,

Thank you for this great question.  I do believe that art and Christianity can go hand in hand.  I also believe that in order to be an effective writer, it is more important that you have a sound Biblical understanding of life than that you have an artistic background.  

Even after having said that, there are many churches turning to many of the arts to use them in worship.  I believe that some Colleges are now training with that in mind.  One Book that I recommend to you is "Addicted to Mediocrity" by Franky Schaffer.  Although I disagree with his belittling of aggressive evangelism, he does make a good point about the church's abandonment of the arts.  I think that you would find it to be very interesting.
