Question
QUESTION: is it proper to french kiss your boyfriend?

ANSWER: Martha-

Generally speaking, no.  But, french kissing leads to other things, and the other things can be improper.  It's difficult to draw a line as to where physical activity becomes a sin, but in my opinion, french kissing does not cross the line.

It would help if you were to tell me your age, your boyfriend's age, and how long have you been dating.

carl

QUESTION: i am 17 years old and the guy in question is 24 years old. he wants me to date him but he has already french kissed me and i was feeling guilty that was why i asked if it was wrong. i like him and will go out with him when i feel the time is right.

Answer
Martha-

I think that guilt may be telling you something - I think you're wise to wait - 24 is awfully old for a 17 year old.  Don't get me wrong, not all guys are jerks, some are really nice, but just dating him in some states before you're 18 would constitute statutory rape because of your age difference.  He's out of college, or if he didn't go to college, he's been working for a while, and he knows a lot more about french kissing and life than you do.  I know, I know, I sound like a parent - don't think of this as a lecture, but just sound advice - go slow, and go out with someone closer to your own age - you'll meet lots of guys if you go to college or at work after high school.  If he still wants to date you 3 years from now, go for it.

Thanks for writing, and thanks for the nice rating.  I wish you all the best.

blessings,
carl
