I am 18 years old boy and i want to know whether if you are a christian and you are having a girl friend you are commiting a sin what and also consider the fact that 1.you are not kissing.2 you are kissing but not having sex.

Hi Victor,

Thanks for this great question.  There are several things to consider on this issue.

1.  If you do not have your parent's permission to date, or if your girlfriend's parents do not wish for her to date, it would be wrong.

Ephesians 6:1-2

Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. 2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

2.  If you date, you are both Christians, and you remain pure physically, then you can honor God in that relationship.

3.  If you date, but start to touch (kiss, pet...foreplay...sex ) then that is wrong.  Biblically speaking, a physical relationship should not start until you are married.

Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
