sorry pastor i should have told you whats the game about , sorry. i m a just a 14 year old guy, i forgte  stuff. the reason why i think its sibful is becaasue i asked another pastor on this site, or this other girl named chrsitie and they both sadi it was not a sin and i wouldnt go to hell. but some said i would. im so confused! this is how the game goes. yoou have 8000 life points. you have a deck of like 40 cards and it includes certain types of warriors and other  fighters. theeres alo spell cards and trap cards. you fight with the monsters an dwhoever loses theier lifepointas first is the loser.m type it in on google for more info. please get back to me with an answer. p.s IM NOT OBSSESED WITH THISD GAME AND I DO NOT BELIVE IN ANY OD=F THE THEMES. THEIR IS INLY ONE MASTER FOR ME-GOD

ima born again christian and love jesus. i gave my life to him a year ago. im a 14 year old boy. i play a card game called yugioh. is it a sin to play it?/ im definitly not obssesed with it, its just a hobby. i dont belive in any of the magic or sins either. help please!

Hi John,

Thanks for that great question.  I do not know anything about the game of which you speak however, why would you think it to be wrong.  I know that the game is not specifically mentioned in the Bible...but is there something about it that bothers a part of you?  You sound like you are trying to make excuses to yourself saying that it is ok.  Have you prayed about it?  Does the Holy Spirit give you peace about it...or is something still bothering you.  Notice the following verses:

Romans 14:22-23
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. 23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

If you are not 100% convinced that a think is glorifying to God... that it is OK for you to do, then you should not be doing it because you are not doing it in faith... you are doing it in doubt.

Here is a principle for you to consider....  Is this game controlling you?  

1 Corinthians 6:12
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.

If you are brought under its power...if you feel like you cannot live without it... it is probably wrong for you.  The fact that you are still bothered seems to indicate that there is something wrong in it for you.

Pray over it and do what God tells you to do.
