Christianity --Youth Issues/several questions

Question
I have a lot of things I'm confused about right now. First of all, I've been a
Protestant Christian for most of my life, but I've been attending the Mormon
church for the past year and it makes me wonder if that is the "true" church
like they say, or if it isn't.I pray about it, and I feel like I've gotten answers
that go both ways, so how do I know when God is anwering my questions and
when He's not?  Also, I like to go out to parties with my friends, but that
generally involves drinking and dancing in ways that are probably not
completely appropriate.  Is drinking a sin? And how do I know if the way I
dance is a sin? If this is sinning, quitting drinking is easy enough, but
everyone dances that way these days, so is it possible to go to parties without
doing that?
