Question Where is the flex fuel sensor located on a 2001 Caravan 3.3
Answer Hi Ed,
My most recent manual for the Caravan is '98 but I suspect it didn't change for 2001. The problem is the manual doesn't say specifically or visualize the location of the sensor. It is serviced by an orange wire (one of three) that carries 8V which also shares that wire with the crank/cam/trans output speed sensors all on the side of the powertrain that faces the front of the vehicle toward the trans-engine interface (The splice where those orange wires split out of the harness is in the left front corner of the engine compartment, in front of the battery). So it has to be in that area, perhaps near/mounted in the fuel rail is my suspicion. It has a light gray 4-pin plug with three actual wires: orange/black-light blue/yellow-white. So I would look for such a plug somewhere on the fuel rail is my suspicion. I would appreciate knowing exactly where you find it to be.
