Subject: Starter replacement

Question
I need instructions for replacing the starter in my 1997 Chrysler LXI minivan.

Answer
STARTER - 3.3/3.8L ENGINE
REMOVAL
Release hood latch and open hood.
Disconnect battery negative cable Battery Negative Cable
Hoist and support vehicle on safety stands.
Remove nut holding B+ terminal to starter solenoid Wire Connectors
Disconnect solenoid connector from starter.
Remove bolts holding starter to transaxle bellhousing Starter Bolts
Remove starter from bellhousing Starter - 3.3/3.8L Engine
Separate starter spacer from transaxle bellhousing.
INSTALLATION
Place starter spacer in position on transaxle bellhousing, flange toward flywheel.
Place starter in position on bellhousing.
Install bolts to hold starter to transaxle bellhousing.
Connect solenoid connector into starter.
Install nut to hold B+ terminal to starter solenoid.
Lower vehicle.
Connect battery negative cable.
Verify starter operation.
