QUESTION: Hello, I've been having issues with my climate control. The heater only blows hot air until my car heats up to a certain point then begins to blow cold air. The thermostat has been replaced.

Do you know what the heater/ac controls assembly does exactly? Does it regulate the temperature of the air that is blown? Could a faulty heater control assembly be the problem? (The ac is also screwy).

Im not sure its the heater core because I don't find anti freeze on my passenger floor. Would a faulty heater core cause this probelm?

ANSWER: yes I know how the system works. the temp of the heat coming out is in direct relation to the temp of the engine. U dont have an automatic AC system so it wont change as the inside of the cabin will change U have the manual knows that u turn from red to blue.
U say it gets hot inside and then when does it cool down?

QUESTION: when I say the heat only blows hot until my car warms up, I mean that once the engine warms up to a certain point (when the engine temperature gauge goes about 1/4 of the way up), the heat starts to blow cold.

I'm wondering if the assembly of the controls (the knobs that choose hot or cold) has any sensors or anything that might be faulty and cause it to blow cold air? Or a mixer door or something for hot and cold air?

what u are saying to me makes no sense the controls for the hot and cold don't move unless u tell them to with the knob. I have seen where u drive and the heat is there and when u stop it goes cold but not this way that U are describing never seen that b4.
