Question
car will not start unless you have your foot on the gas..and it will not idle unless you do the same as above..what cld be the problems and solutions for this

Hi Nick,
It sounds like a too rich mixture, so I would suggest that you clean the throat, idle air passageway on the side of the throat, and both sides of the butterfly plate in the throttle body.
Also, if there is an Autozone parts store near you take the car there and ask them to readout the fault codes, for free. Ask for the 4-digit fault code number(s), what they mean, what they recommend doing, and for how much. Then write me back with the numbers and we'll go from there.
Tell me which engine you have and whether this is a coupe or a convertible.
