Question Hello Kevin,
I had my local mechanic do the Timing Belt change, all of that went well. Soon after I got an engine check light on, that says that gas is evaporating or something like that.
If the mechanic did not release gas pressure before working on the timing belt as stated in the Timing Belt Removal procedure, could it have cause a problem.
Many thanks
Answer Fuel pressure does not have a sensor so it has no ablity of checking itself. The code u got is for broken rubber or plastic hose for the vapors from the gas tank. He could have broken a hose when removed the intake for a tune up or something like that
